General Baptist Ministries has been involved in global missions since 1911 and has been actively sending mission teams since the early 1990s. Most of our teams have gone to our traditional mission locations, such as India, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Philippines, West Africa, and the Pacific Islands of Guam and Saipan. In a typical year, we coordinate well over 20 teams through the Mission One program. We look forward to continuing these opportunities moving forward, but we are also excited about new opportunities that will be available soon.
General Baptist Ministries is excited to announce a new strategic partnership, opening up opportunities for General Baptists to serve and teach conversational English in 13 of the most unreached countries in the world—places like Morocco, Turkey, Vietnam, Mongolia, and many more! English education is a powerful tool to reach the unreached and empower individuals to access information, opportunities, and resources that might otherwise be inaccessible. Through teaching English overseas, General Baptists can play a pivotal role in sharing the transformative message of Christ with those who may otherwise never hear about our Hope. We are confident in our collaboration with this partner organization. They align with our core theology, values, and mission, and General Baptists have worked alongside them in the past. Now, it’s your chance to get involved!
This opportunity is for individuals from all walks of life. Whether you are a college student, recent graduate, mid-career professional, single, married, raising a family, or retired, there are options available for everyone—short-term commitments of 10-12 days or four to six weeks, as well as long-term placements of one or more years. Through this partnership, you will receive specialized training and be fully equipped to teach English as a second language, all while living and working alongside a dedicated team of like-minded individuals.
