    The GBIF exists solely to lend money to General Baptist churches and related organizations with these objectives:

    • to be true to Christian standards,
    • to be prudent in money management,
    • to build up the ministry of General Baptists through loans for building and expanding church facilities.

    Relationship to the Denomination

    The GBIF is an institutional ministry incorporated in the state of Missouri as a not-for-profit entity under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code. The GBIF is a subsidiary of the General Association of General Baptists, through its Council of Associations, Inc. However, the GBIF is totally dependent upon generating its own revenues. No denominational funding has been applied to this ministry.

  • Women's Ministries

    General Baptist Women’s Ministries is a support branch of the General Association of General Baptists. Formed in 1911 to resource international missionaries, the ministry has grown to encourage spiritual growth and leadership development in women.

    Women in General Baptist churches are encouraged to develop mentoring relationships in group settings, passing forward the legacy of passion for the Great Commission.

  • Compassionate Care

    Compassionate Care Adoption Agency and Ministry to Unwed Mothers, grew out of the work of the General Baptist Commission on Social Issues.  The Commission recommended to the General Board of the General Association of General Baptists and then was presented by the Board at the 1987 General Association that the Social Issues Commission be instructed to incorporate a General Baptist adoption agency and ministry to unwed mothers as a not-for-profit corporation in the state of Indiana.
